Control of dispenser height

The HL-G2 series can be used for checking the distance to workpiece for control purposes. The sensors perform sampling at high speed, which makes it possible to control the equipment more smoothly.

Inspection of a slitter blade surface

The HL-G2 series can be used for checking slitter blades to detect abnormalities or obtain data for predictive maintenance. With the communication type, the HL-G2 outputs the measurement data directly in digital format. This eliminates the risk of errors when analog values need to be converted to digital values.

Numerical output for adjusting the workpiece position

The HL-G2 series measures the distance from four points and directly outputs numerical values for adjusting the workpiece in X, Y, and Z direction.

High-precision measurement

The HL-G2 series stands out among the industry‘s leading sensors with high-end features: resolution of 0.5μm, linearity of ±0.05% F.S., high-speed sampling of 100μs and temperature characteristic of 0.03% F.S./°C. The HL-G2 sensors achieve performance rivaling those of a higher category of displacement sensors thanks to the optimized and well-coordinated devices, optical system, mechanisms and algorithm. In addition, these sensors are equipped with an OLED display which offers excellent visibility.

Built-in controller and communication unit

The HL-G2 series is an all-in-one unit with a built-in controller, reducing the time and effort required to find the right product combination, as well as reducing installation space and costs. The lineup includes a communication type that has a built-in communication unit and can be easily connected via Ethernet, and an analog output type that is suitable for applications that require constant acquisition of sensor measurement data.

Simple and intuitive setting software

By using the PC-based software “HL-G2 Configuration Tool” (free to download), you can easily configure multiple HL-G2 units simultaneously. Since settings can be made in real time while checking actual data, the time required for adjustment can be reduced.

High-speed response: sampling cycle of 100μs

With its excellent computing capability, the sensor achieves a high-speed sampling of 100μs. Thanks to the fast response, the HL-G2 series is optimally suited for applications that require high-speed data processing.
