Packaging and packaging waste

The Italian Legislative Decree no. 116 of 3 September 2020 states that all packaging shall be “appropriately labelled in accordance with the procedures laid down in the applicable UNI technical standards and  compliance with the decisions of the European Commission, in order to facilitate the collection, reuse, recovery and recycling of packaging, and to provide consumers with  accurate information on the final destination of packaging. For the purposes of identifying and classifying packaging, producers are also required to indicate the nature of the packaging materials used, on the basis of Commission Decision 97/129/EC.”

In accordance with this new legislation entering into effect on 01 January 2022, Panasonic makes available information and classification of the packaging materials used for shipping its products.
