Software update delivers higher torque and enhanced ride quality

Panasonic is taking the performance of its GXM e-bike drive system to the next level. The GXM Magnesium motor will now deliver 120 Nm of torque, while the GXM Aluminum version increases to 110 Nm, providing riders with even greater support on steep climbs, technical trails, and demanding off-road adventures.

However, this upgrade is about much more than added power. The enhanced motor tuning delivers greater control, more precise power delivery, and an exceptionally natural riding experience.

Riders will especially appreciate the refined performance in AUTO mode, where the system intelligently adapts its assistance to the terrain and riding conditions, creating a smooth, comfortable, and highly intuitive ride feel.
Even better, all GXM motors already on the market can be upgraded via a software update, allowing existing Panasonic riders to benefit from the increased torque and improved riding characteristics without changing their hardware.

With this latest enhancement, Panasonic highlights its commitment to combining outstanding performance, superior ride quality, and innovative e-bike technology for an even more enjoyable riding experience.

“With this performance upgrade, we are demonstrating the full potential of our GXM platform," says Jürgen Haumon, Senior Product Manager at Panasonic E-Bike Systems. "The increased power delivers even greater support and enjoyment in demanding terrain and on steep climbs. At the same time, the system retains the natural riding characteristics that many riders value. We are particularly pleased that existing GXM users can also benefit from these improvements through a simple software update."
