Threefold savings with the brushless motors of the MINAS BL series

The new MINAS BL series is a further development of the tried and true MINAS series. The innovative split core structure helps to save not only energy, but also space and costs. The motors, which compared to AC induction motors are far more powerful, are particularly suited for materials handling as well as the food and the textile industry.

1. Less power dissipation thanks to increased efficiency

Compared with the input power of a conventional micro gear motor (90W), a permanent magnet in the rotor reduces the secondary loss considerably. Energy-savings help to reduce costs and make a valuable contribution towards protecting the climate and the environment.

2. Saving space thanks to a compact design

The split core structure has been developed especially for the AC servo motors and has been introduced with the MINAS series. The structure not only significantly reduces the size (by approx. 15%) and the weight (by approx. 25%), but also increases the output power of the servo motors compared with induction motors.

3. Save on installation and maintenance costs

Thanks to the low-wear brushless motor technology, maintenance costs can be reduced drastically. In addition, the setting software PANATERM for MINAS-BL speeds up commissioning and reduces the time spent on configuring the machines. During operation, the software allows for easy setting or adjusting of parameters and analysis of the operational data.

  • Velocity control range: 30rpm to 4000rpm (rated rotational speed: 3000rpm).
  • A Hall sensor detects the position, which guarantees a balanced control response.
  • Starting torque up to 150% of the rated torque
    As opposed to induction motors, the MINAS-BL series offers a constant torque when starting or at lows speeds.
  • Constant torque characteristics
    The speed variation is 0.5% max. of the nominal torque. Such an extremely precise control ensures high productivity and excellent quality.
  • Parameters can be set to enable trapezoidal and S-curve acceleration/deceleration control.
  • PANATERM: Free software for configuration and motion simulation via USB port
